I haven't had the time to look into the DB conversion, but the way to reverse the string using php is going to be to use strrev($string).

So:

RAW CODE
$string = "12345"; $newstring = strrev($string); echo $newstring; //will return 54321

first i am very happy by using this beard version it is the best

i cant belive that it is all free

so i want to help you by translating the script to arabic language but i have 2 questions:

first:

how can i change the firection from : ltr to rtl

second: how can i change Coding of the database to windows-1256

i would like to help you so please help me

Future releases had been put on hold as things got sorted (it's been a crazy year). I will see what I can do. No promises as to when the next release will begin. (I've learned better than to make promises that I can't absolutely guarantee these days). Thanks for you patience and for the suggestion.

Glad to hear you found us. Don't let people tell you the board is dead. I'm getting some major projects done (that were supposed to be out of my pipeline about a month ago, and yet still linger) and then I'm charging into the next bugfix/feature release. I hope you enjoy the software and don't go too crazy with the issues currently existing.

Hey there, the name is CastilleV.
I found this place via google.co.uk, and searching pages from the UK.
Why did I do this? Because I am so sick and tired of people telling me to use PHPBB/IPB/VBB,etc.

Anyways, I thought I would start a topic and get to know the community first, chances are I will be using this software, but back to the topic at hand.

So anyways...well, I wanted to start an intro topic so here goes.....
Aside from foruming I am into other things, exercising, acting, dancing, and over all debating about things in the GLBT community.

So far my day has been......A day.

When you first created the css file, did you also create a relationship file ? ie. a.forum-header:link, relates to Forum Header Link as some of them in the css file are a bit difficult to figure out. Especially when they only show in a certain part of the forum.

Also, is there a way to get notifications from my posts as I cant find the setting.. ?

I have to say that I have 6 forums running on my home server, which i have been testing for a few days now, but BB just seems to work without any hassle.
All the others require loads of knowledge of forums (Nil here) so BB is great for me.
The one thing I do have is a great understanding of VB6 (Yes i now its old). Not being mega struck on the colour scheme I wondered if it was possible to just play around with the .css file. Which you can, but you need a few hours to get the hang of it.

Light bulb flashes over head. Why not write a little proggy to edit the css file and make it easy to create themes for BB.

If anyone else thinks this is a good idea then please let me know as I would like to give something back, seeing as how I did not have to pay for BB.

PS. This is my first post so at least one reply would be fantastic. Even if its nothing to do with the above.

I think that anything that makes a process easier or more palatable is a good thing. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

It's always nice to hear some feedback about the script... especially when it's good news. Thanks.

Here is the change log for v1.1.6.

v1.1.6
- Some code cleanup for better readability and performance
- Added a requirement for email confirmation prior to allowing registration to prevent typos from creating a user who can never be confirmed.
- Added requirement for password confirmation.
- Added text to clarify the ability to specify default permissions when creating a new topic.
- Corrected link for bbcode help in the textarea toolbar for posts.
- New Topics now have breadcrumbs and display what topic they are being posted to
- Same funtionality added for Add Reply
- Custom Fields now appear on Member Profile
- Added new field to 'settings' table for password hash technique to fix the issue of a server upgrade causing a new hash method to lock out all members.
- Added some starting text to explain where to go next immediately after new install.

It's a little short, as I'm still getting my legs under me, but with some user input and my own research, I'm sure the next version will be even better. I hope everyone enjoys the release.
